Training & Development Specialist (Manufacturing)
W2 CONTRACT 
San Antonio, TX | Occasional Travel 
$37-$42/HR | Benefit Options 

This role will facilitate training programs, maintain training records, analyze training effectiveness, and partner with leaders to ensure employees are prepared to perform safely and successfully. The position reports to the Sr. Site HR Manager and works closely with the Learning & Development Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver classroom, virtual, and hands-on training for manufacturing employees and leaders.
  • Support onboarding, compliance, technical, operational, and leadership development programs.
  • Manage training schedules, attendance tracking, learning records, and LMS administration.
  • Monitor training metrics, completion rates, and workforce readiness reporting.
  • Conduct training needs assessments and recommend program improvements.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of training materials, job aids, and facilitator guides.
  • Partner with HR, Operations, Safety, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to support workforce capability development.

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of training, learning, workforce development, education, or related experience; OR
  • Master's degree in a related field; OR
  • 3+ years of relevant training, learning, or workforce development experience.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience facilitating training in manufacturing, industrial, logistics, distribution, or production environments.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Experience tracking training metrics and reporting.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Experience developing training materials and instructional content.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.

Schedule & Location

  • Primarily onsite in San Antonio, TX.
  • Initial schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:30 AM–4:00 PM.
  • Will support 2nd Shift training deployment beginning in 2027.
  • Occasional Friday support and local travel within the San Antonio area may be required.
