Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position is to support the development of the skills and competencies of the New Jersey sites through on-the-job training, skills evaluation and development programs. This position will also assist with the coordination and documentation of training programs delivered in MFI facilities while collaborating with production management, human resources and safety to continuously improve on-site learning and development (L&D). Additionally, this position will assist in the development and maintenance of the Michael Foods Execution System (MES) elements.
This position has the responsibility to always comply with Safety work rules as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, to reduce product and process variability.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management Operating System (MOS), Centerlines, Clean-Inspect-Lubricate, Line Walks, Root Cause Analysis, and 5S.
Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
Extensive work experience and knowledge of all equipment in the area of support including best operating practices, principles of operation, operational parameters, fault finding and corrective action on equipment and systems.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
To promote a manufacturing environment that is safe and efficient for both personnel and food, the ability to effectively communicate in Spanish and English (both verbal and written) is preferred. This includes the ability to speak, read and comprehend safety instructions, rules and warnings for self and others in both normal and emergency situations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and in group situations. Ability to respond to questions from internal/external customers/vendors at all levels including management.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form.
