We are sourcing a Trainee Equipment Maintenance Assistant on a full time, permanent basis. Based at our facility in Montrose, the Trainee Equipment Maintenance Assistant is to assist Yard Supervisor with carrying out duties to facilitate the maintenance and assessment of condition of palletised mooring equipment, as well as mobilisation and demobilisation of same.

Duties & Main Responsibilities

• Ensure that instructions given by the Yard Supervisor or middle management are carried out in a safe, timely and efficient manner
• Working under instruction of Senior and Middle management at various locations
• Maintenance of all items held in InterMoor equipment inventory
• Assisting with Quayside operations which will include direct contact with Client representatives
• General Yard duties including all aspects of housekeeping and stock control
• Equipment Inspection in line with guidelines on pass/fail criteria.
• Supporting our Inspection team
• Weekend Duty Responsibility

Required

Essential

• High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format
• Good standard of education, National 5 level or above

Preferred

• HNC in a related discipline
• Experience of mooring equipment handling and inspections
• Banksman & Slinger Basic Level
• Forklift truck basic certification
• Full UK Driving Licence LocationMontrose Work CountryScotland
