POSITION INFORMATION
Under direct supervision of the Shop Manager, the Trailer Mechanic is responsible for inspection, repair and preventative maintenance of the various types of Warren owned trailers by using Warren and industry standard methods and criteria to ensure the trailer is safe to be on the road. Functions of this position include: inspecting, diagnosing, replacing and repairing brake systems ABS, electrical components, multi-axle alignments, hydraulic systems, welding/fabrication of steel and aluminum and related equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee works outside and is exposed to all weather elements, including: extreme heat, wind, rain, snow, and freezing temperatures. The employee is frequently required to stand or walk for long periods. The employee is frequently required to bend, stoop, climb, push/pull up to 50 lbs., and twist. The employee is frequently required to move parts or supplies and can lift up to 100 lbs. The employee must frequently use fingers, handle or touch objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. This position is safety sensitive; therefore, subject to random drug testing

The essential functions of the role depend on in-person oversight, coaching, and real-time collaboration with management and operations staff. Remote work would remove the employee from direct supervision and eliminate the immediate coaching and escalation support that the position requires. Because these functions are essential to the role, and remote work would not allow the employee to perform them effectively, working from home is not a reasonable or effective accommodation.
