We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-driven Tanker Inspector to ensure tankers,
cargo tanks, and related equipment meet all regulatory, safety, and structural
integrity standards. This role plays a critical part in preventing failures,
maintaining compliance, and protecting both personnel and the environment.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, inspection experience,
and a deep understanding of safety regulations and documentation.
· Perform visual
and mechanical inspections of tanker units, cargo tanks, or
storage tanks
· Inspect welds,
valves, piping, structural components, and safety systems
· Conduct or assist with pressure testing, leak testing, and thickness
testing
· Verify compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and industry standards
· Identify defects, corrosion, cracks, or
structural concerns
· Document findings in detailed inspection reports
· Recommend repairs, maintenance, or removal from
service when necessary
· Work closely with maintenance teams and
management on corrective actions
· Maintain inspection tools, gauges, and testing
equipment
· Follow all company and site-specific safety
protocols
· Experience in mechanical inspection, heavy equipment, tankers, or industrial
equipment
· Strong knowledge of safety and compliance standards
· Ability to read technical drawings and inspection criteria
· Comfortable working in shop and outdoor
environments
· Strong attention to detail and documentation
skills
· Basic computer skills for reporting
