The current Playbook requires continual evolution as new strategies are developed, roadway geometry is changed, or operations are modified.
  • Maintain the MBTR-TMC Standard Operating Procedures and Communication Plan.
  • Coordinate with the facility and other stakeholders for after-action meetings in the case of a traffic incident or high-congestion period during scheduled roadway/lane closures.
  • Respond to facility, stakeholder, and Traffic Engineering inquiries on real-time traffic conditions.
  • Coordinate with Traffic Engineering staff to review designs and operational plans as they relate to roadway network operations and MBTR-TMC procedures and on construction staging and scheduled land/roadway closures.
  • Coordinate with Traffic Engineering staff to ensure ITS support of MBTR-TMC operations.
  • Provide feedback or propose operational or design improvements to facility operations and Traffic Engineering staff based on observed traffic operations.
  • Be responsible for all traffic operations at MBTR-TMC, including dissemination of information to MBTR-TMC Shift Supervisors and Operators regarding operational changes or changes to MBTR-TMC procedures.
