Class Summary
Job Description
This class is responsible for performing journeyman trades duties. The position will be required to perform work on highly specialized equipment associated with wastewater pump stations. Depending on the position level, the incumbent may serve as a lead worker, directing employees in the proper maintenance, repair or replacement of equipment. This employee must be able to troubleshoot equipment to determine the cause of the problem and make accurate and timely decisions with respect to repairs and/or replacements.

Minimum Qualifications
Trades Technician I
Grade A12(3) Salary: $40,000 - $43,337
High School Diploma or G.E.D.; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
Valid Drivers License from state of residency
Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) must be obtained within 12 months of employment.
Trades Technician II
Grade B21(3) Salary: $44,968 - $51,713
High School Diploma or G.E.D.; AND
Two years of trades experience: OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
Valid Drivers License from state of residency
Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) must be obtained within 12 months of employment.
Trades Technician III
Grade B23(3) Salary: $53,268 - $61,280
High School Diploma or G.E.D.; AND
Four years of trades experience: OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
Valid Drivers License from state of residency
Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) must be obtained within 12 months of employment.
Trades Technician IV
Grade B31(3) Salary: $57,950 - $66,642
High School Diploma or G.E.D.; AND
Five years of progressively responsible trades experience, some of which is in a supervisory capacity: OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
Valid Drivers License from state of residency
Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) must be obtained within 12 months of employment.
