    Description

    SourcePro Search is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Intellectual Property Prosecution Paralegal to support our New Jersey or New York offices. If you have 5+ years of IP experience and a passion for trademarks, patents, and copyrights, we want to hear from you!

     

    What You'll Do:

    • Prepare and file U.S. trademark prosecution and maintenance documents with the USPTO, including applications, office action responses, renewals, assignments, and more.
    • Draft and submit trademark documents with WIPO and through the Madrid Protocol, including applications, responses to Notices of Irregularity, and renewals.
    • Work with foreign counsel on trademark prosecution and maintenance outside the U.S., including notarization and legalization of documents.
    • Conduct preliminary trademark clearance searches online and on USPTO databases.
    • Prepare and file copyright applications and conduct IP-related due diligence for corporate transactions.
    • Assist in preparing and filing TTAB petitions, motions, and other legal paperwork.
    • Conduct investigations on third-party use of marks and assist with UDRP actions.
    • File and assist in the prosecution of design applications and patent monitoring.
    • Review files, prepare Information Disclosure Statements, and manage docket deadlines using CPI or similar docketing systems.

    What You'll Bring:

    • Minimum 5 years of law firm experience in intellectual property prosecution.
    • College degree and/or paralegal certificate required.
    • Strong knowledge of USPTO, WIPO, Madrid Protocol processes, and docketing software (CPI preferred).
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with familiarity in Relativity, Concordance, and iManage as a plus.
    • Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively as a team player.
