Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Trade Services Operations Specialist to support the Trade Services Desk with daily operational activities. This role is responsible for processing trade-related documentation, reviewing letters of credit, handling document collections, and supporting import/export trade transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience working with trade services documentation, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced banking environment.
Responsibilities:
Review and process documentation related to Letters of Credit.
Verify trade documents for completeness, accuracy, and authenticity.
Handle document collections and support trade services operations.
Process import/export trade documentation and ensure adherence to established procedures.
Open, sort, and distribute incoming packages and trade-related correspondence.
Scan, upload, and maintain electronic records within trade processing systems.
Capture and process trade transactions and documentation.
Send trade documents according to customer and banking instructions.
Maintain organized records and support day-to-day operational functions of the Trade Services Desk.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Experience working with Letters of Credit, including reviewing documentation and validating accuracy.
Knowledge of document collections and trade services processes.
Basic understanding of international trade, import/export documentation, and movement of goods.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high-volume documentation.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Experience in a banking, trade finance, or trade services environment.
Familiarity with import/export documentation and trade operations workflows.
Ability to identify discrepancies and escalate issues appropriately.
