Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Trade Services Operations Specialist to support the Trade Services team with daily operational activities. This role will focus on document review, customer setup processing, letters of credit verification, trade processing support, and maintaining complete and accurate records within internal systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in trade finance operations and a strong understanding of Letters of Credit and related trade documentation.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain customer and party records within TradeWorks and related systems.
Receive customer setup forms and accurately create or amend records in TradeWorks.
Utilize Vantage and other internal systems to support CEO trade setup activities.
Review and verify Letters of Credit (LCs), Standby Letters of Credit, and guarantees for completeness and accuracy.
Support trade processing activities and ensure records are properly maintained within systems of record.
Process documentation requirements and release transactions as needed.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and business partners regarding trade service requests.
Communicate extensively via email and occasionally collaborate with offshore teams, including WF India.
Handle customer inquiries and provide support to both external clients and internal partners.
Assist with document collection and trade services processing activities.
Support import/export transaction documentation and movement of goods within trade finance operations.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Experience with Letters of Credit (LCs), Standby Letters of Credit, and trade guarantees, including the ability to review documentation for accuracy and authenticity.
Knowledge of trade services operations, including document collections and related processes.
Basic understanding of international trade, import/export documentation, and the movement of goods.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Customer service experience supporting both internal and external clients.
Experience working within banking, trade finance, or trade services environments.
Familiarity with TradeWorks, Vantage, or similar trade processing systems.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and global partners.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
