Job Description - Trade Operations Analyst- Day to Day job Duties: (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis)
- Validate, process, and settle trades across multiple asset classes including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and other financial instruments.
- Monitor trade confirmations, allocations, settlement instructions, and transaction statuses to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Investigate trade exceptions, settlement breaks, and discrepancies, and drive resolution through coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Reconcile trade activity with custodians, brokers, clearing agents, and counterparties to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Partner closely with Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, Finance, and external counterparties to troubleshoot failed trades and minimize settlement risk.
- Maintain accurate transaction records and supporting documentation in accordance with operational, regulatory, and audit requirements.
- Perform daily operational controls and monitor key risk indicators to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Support audits, compliance reviews, regulatory inquiries, and control testing activities by providing required documentation and analysis.
- Identify recurring operational issues and recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, and control enhancements.
- Participate in system testing, process change initiatives, and operational projects impacting trade processing and settlement activities.
- Generate and analyze operational reports, metrics, and exception dashboards to support management decision-making.
- Assist with new product onboarding, process documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives within Trade Operations.
Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each)- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Trade Operations, Settlements, Middle Office, Securities Operations, or related Capital Markets functions.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end trade lifecycle, including trade capture, confirmation, allocation, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation processes.
- Experience processing and settling trades across one or more asset classes, including Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, or Structured Products.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience investigating and resolving trade exceptions, settlement breaks, and reconciliation discrepancies.
- Familiarity with industry platforms such as DTCC, SWIFT, Bloomberg, Client, Omgeo CTM, or similar trade processing systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business functions and external counterparties.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting functions.
- Understanding of regulatory and control requirements related to securities processing and trade operations.
Travel: This position may require occasional travel based on project and stakeholder requirements.
Degree: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field.
Nice to Have; (But not a must)- Experience working in Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Asset Management, Custody, or Broker-Dealer environments.
- Knowledge of settlement regulations, market practices, and industry standards.
- Experience with automation, process improvement, Lean, or operational excellence initiatives.
- Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or other reporting and analytics tools.
- Understanding of Corporate Actions, Securities Lending, Cash Management, or Collateral Management processes.
- Knowledge of T+1 settlement processes and post-trade regulatory requirements.
- Industry certifications such as CFA, FRM, SIFM, or Operations-related certifications.
- Experience supporting system implementations, UAT testing, or operational transformation projects.

$40 to $44. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations.
