- Contribute to process automation, platform testing, documentation, and operational risk improvements.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Analyze end-to-end Import and Export Letter of Credit and Documentary Collection processes to identify operational gaps, control risks, and efficiency opportunities.
- Support Letter of Credit issuance, advising, confirmation, settlement, financing, and related operational activities.
- Review and improve workflows to increase processing accuracy, reduce turnaround times, and strengthen operational controls.
- Partner with technology, product, and operations stakeholders on system enhancements and process automation.
- Prepare test cases and participate in quality assurance and user acceptance testing for trade finance platforms.
- Investigate testing issues, coordinate resolutions, and validate that system changes meet operational requirements.
- Ensure transactions and processes comply with applicable ICC rules, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain standard operating procedures, process documentation, user guides, and training materials.
- Support invoicing, commission processing in advance and arrears, and daily accrual activities.
- Assist with syndicated Letters of Credit and other complex trade structures from an operational perspective.
- Produce data analysis and operational reporting to support performance management and informed decision-making.
- Help communicate and implement new processes, system changes, and operating procedures.
Do You Bring Proven Success in Trade Finance Operations and Process Improvement?
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
- Approximately five to seven years of relevant experience in Trade Finance Operations.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Import and Export Letters of Credit and Documentary Collections.
- Understanding of Letter of Credit issuance, advising, confirmation, settlement, financing, commissions, and accruals.
- Strong working knowledge of ICC rules, including UCP, URC, and ISBP.
- Experience analyzing operational processes, improving workflows, or supporting operational transformation.
- Experience participating in QA or UAT, including test-case preparation, execution, defect identification, and issue resolution.
- Familiarity with trade finance systems and high-volume transaction-processing environments.
- Strong attention to detail, operational risk awareness, and commitment to control standards.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with operations, technology, product, and business stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Experience with syndicated Letters of Credit or complex trade structures is preferred.
- Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists, or CDCS, is an advantage.
