Job Title: Trade Compliance Specialist
Contract Duration: 6 months, possible extension
Location: Marlborough, MA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Pay: $40
Summary
We are seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to support import compliance operations and ensure adherence to U.S. Customs regulations and company policies. This role is responsible for reviewing import documentation, supporting audits, maintaining reporting tools, and collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and third-party providers to ensure compliant and efficient import processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Review vendor documentation for customs classification accuracy.
- Support compliance audits and validations, including AD/CVD and HTS code reviews.
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Generate and maintain reports for internal teams and external partners.
- Communicate with stakeholders and third-party providers to resolve issues.
- Assist with onboarding new vendors.
- Support billing and invoice-related processes.
- Monitor performance and productivity of third-party service providers.
- Audit reports to ensure information accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with special projects and departmental initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in Customs Compliance, Trade Compliance, or Import Operations.
- Customs Broker License preferred or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience working in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables), Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Power BI.
- Strong online research skills.
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and a collaborative team-player mindset.
