As a Trade Compliance Specialist, you will:
- Assist with license application preparation.
- Assist *** personnel with foreign travel export concerns and prepare letters of travel. Advise the business on foreign visitor guidelines.
- Assist other departments with trade compliance matters. Examples may include reviewing shipping export paperwork, assisting with commodity classifications, etc.
- Perform ad-hoc denied party screening per business requests and advise business of the results.
- Input commodity and technology classifications into the ERP database and data storage tool used for technology classifications.
- Assist in data pulling and organization for trade compliance projects.
- Perform SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) tasks, which include, but are not limited to Business Partner releases, Sanctioned Party List denied party screening releases, data input.
- Support review of daily business emails as they refer to trade compliance.
- Immediately report suspected compliance violations to department management and assist in investigation, if required.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to gather and analyze information from a highly technical environment.
Preferred qualifications/experience:
- Bachelor s degree and at least 3 years of prior relevant experience in a manufacturing environment (i.e., engineering, contracts, logistics) with exposure to export/import concepts and principles.
- Knowledge of U.S. export/import regulations including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC is a plus.
- Experience using SAP, GTS, OCR EASE, SNAP-R, and DECCS would be beneficial.
