    Description

Tracked Carrier & Drilling Rig Diesel Technician

Imagine starting your day with a walk-around of a track-mounted drilling rig. You note a sluggish boom and a warning light, pull up the hydraulic and electrical diagrams, and start methodically hunting down the root cause. By lunchtime, you’ve verified pump pressures, repaired a chafed harness, and brought the machine back to full strength. In the afternoon, you move to a Prinoth-style carrier for a scheduled service, then consult with our parts and operations teams to line up components for tomorrow’s rebuild. This is a hands-on shop—not a dealership assembly line—where you own the repair from first assessment to clean handoff.

    What you’ll work on

    • Track-mounted drilling rigs and related support equipment
    • Tracked carriers similar to Morooka, Terramac, and Prinoth, plus remote track systems
    • Diesel powerplants, hydraulic circuits (cylinders, pumps, valves, hoses), and electrical systems
    • Undercarriages and track components, including inspections, rebuilds, and upgrades

    How you’ll contribute

    • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults using gauges, meters, and sharp troubleshooting logic
    • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and component replacements to extend machine life
    • Interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics to trace issues quickly and accurately
    • Coordinate with parts and operations to stage jobs and finish work efficiently
    • Take complete ownership of each repair—from first look to final test

    Experience that translates directly

If you have background with Caterpillar, Komatsu, John Deere, Volvo Construction Equipment, or agricultural equipment, you’ll feel right at home. The systems are familiar, the stakes are real, and the work is varied.

    • Confidence reading and applying schematics to solve problems
    • Reliability, initiative, and a solid work ethic

    Why mechanics choose this team

    • Wide variety—no repetitive dealership routines
    • Work on entire machines, not just a single system
    • Collaborative, tight‑knit crew (not a corporate shop)
    • Consistent, year‑round workload

    Compensation & benefits

    • Generous, competitive pay based on experience
    • Health, Dental, and Vision insurance plans
    • 401(k) with Safe Harbor 3% employer salary match
