Track Varsity Head Coach Boys and Girls
Department: Athletics
Reports to: Athletics Assistant Principal
Placement: Extracurricular Salary Schedule (experience considered is for paid coaching experience only)

Position Summary:
Provide coaching services for the Varsity Boys and Girls Track team.
Essential Functions:
- Provide direct supervision of students, auxiliary or assistant coaches and volunteer coaches .
- Organize and schedule practice sessions on a regular basis to develop the athletes' greatest potential .
- Apply discipline in a firm and positive manner.
- Emphasize student safety
- Obtain appropriate training and certification to transport students in the white buses. Training must be
completed within two weeks of beginning employment.
- Perform all duties in accordance with state and federal law and TUHSD Governing Board polici es.
Training and Experience:
- Successful experience working with students.
- Must meet all background check requirements.
- Prior coaching experience preferred.
Licensing/Certification Requirements:
- National Federation of State High Schools Association (NFHSA) certification.
- Valid DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Valid Arizona teacher or Substitute certification.
- Obtain appropriate training and certification to transport students in the white buses. Training must be
completed within two weeks of beginning employment.
