Keep Critical Lifts on Schedule—Join as a Tower Crane Electrohydraulic Service Technician
Your mission: maximize uptime and safety for tower cranes powering major construction. You’ll diagnose fast, repair right, and document thoroughly—so the next lift is as safe as the last.
Your Impact
- Execute scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Use schematics, meters, diagnostic software, and hands-on techniques to locate and resolve faults at the source.
- Service and replace key components—motors, braking systems, transmissions, suspensions, and air brake systems.
- Perform precise electrical diagnostics and corrective actions on crane control systems in compliance with OEM requirements.
- Apply fabrication skills using hand/power tools, welding equipment, and soldering to build, repair, and modify assemblies.
- Capture accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and safety records aligned with industry best practices.
- Coordinate with site leaders to complete maintenance and installation work without disrupting critical lifting operations.
What You Need to Succeed
- Hands-on experience as a heavy equipment technician or mechanic supporting construction machinery.
- Strong mechanical foundation across cranes, excavators, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and other industrial assets.
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and troubleshoot components and circuits confidently.
- Proficiency in hydraulic repair; welding and alignment procedures; HVAC knowledge is a plus.
- Physical capability to conduct heavy lifts safely with proper devices; heavy equipment operation certification preferred.
- Familiarity with diesel engine diagnostics and repair strategies for construction equipment.
- Sharp troubleshooting mindset and a service-oriented approach to support internal and external stakeholders.
Field & Travel
This is a field-based role. Work is performed at customer and job sites rather than a single shop, with home base within driving distance of your coverage area. Travel varies by project; specifics are communicated for each assignment.
