Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Total Rewards Manager for an established, multi-location organization providing essential services to communities across the United States and Canada. This is a direct-hire, onsite opportunity in Houston, Texas.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Total Rewards Manager will lead the design, administration, and continuous improvement of comprehensive compensation and benefits programs supporting a geographically dispersed workforce across the United States and Canada. This strategic and hands-on role will oversee compensation strategy, benefits administration, compliance, vendor partnerships, and total rewards initiatives while partnering closely with HR, Finance, Legal, Payroll, and organizational leadership. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the development and administration of compensation programs, including market benchmarking, salary structures, pay grades, internal pay equity, merit increases, promotions, commissions, bonuses, incentive plans, and workforce cost modeling.
Oversee employee benefits programs, including annual renewals and open enrollment, vendor selection and RFPs, contract negotiations, retirement plans, leaves of absence, disability programs, audits, regulatory filings, and employee communications.
Ensure compensation and benefits programs comply with applicable U.S. and Canadian federal, state, provincial, and local requirements, including pay transparency, pay equity, wage-and-hour, benefits, retirement, leave, and healthcare regulations.
Develop total rewards strategies, employee education initiatives, reporting, dashboards, and key metrics to improve employee understanding, engagement, retention, and program effectiveness.
Support mergers and acquisitions through compensation and benefits due diligence, workforce analysis, plan harmonization, pay structure integration, and post-close integration activities.
Partner closely with HR, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Legal, Finance, operational leadership, brokers, carriers, consultants, and third-party administrators while providing leadership and oversight to functional staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong expertise in compensation, benefits, and total rewards, including compensation design, market pricing, salary structures, incentive programs, benefits administration, and workforce analytics.
Experience supporting both U.S. and Canadian workforces, including familiarity with the distinct compensation, benefits, employment law, and regulatory frameworks within each country.
Experience supporting multi-site or geographically dispersed organizations with strong knowledge of compensation and benefits compliance, regulatory filings, audits, and reporting.
Advanced proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems, Microsoft Office, HR data reporting, dashboards, and compensation modeling; CCP, CEBS, or CBP certification is a plus.
Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and workforce integrations is strongly preferred, along with exceptional communication, relationship management, and cross-functional partnership skills.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This position offers a competitive annual salary of $125,000-$130,000, plus a 15%-20% annual performance bonus.
