Description

Build What Others Imagine

At Alloy Precision Technologies (APT), innovation is how we grow. We blend advanced manufacturing with hands-on craftsmanship to deliver solutions our customers count on—while creating real opportunities for you to learn, advance, and make an impact.

A Day in This Role

You’ll start your day reviewing requests from Production, Engineering, Sales, Maintenance, and Machining. Some are verbal concepts or quick sketches; others are formal blueprints. You’ll translate those ideas into finished tooling or fixtures by selecting appropriate materials, setting up lathes, mills, and grinders, and dialing in the right speeds and feeds. Using gauges and a comparator, you’ll verify your work, make adjustments, and keep everything aligned with AS9100/ISO9001 and regulatory requirements.

As the go-to resource in the tool room, you’ll offer suggestions to improve applications and fixtures, support basic production machining processes, and step in to assist CNC production machining when needed. You’ll also help teammates operate basic equipment safely and effectively, and you’ll conduct yourself according to the current APT policies and procedures. This role reports to the Tool Room Supervisor.
