Tooling Technician (ROV Tooling)
Reports to: Tooling Manager
Job Description
Primary responsibilities are to support ongoing new build subsea tooling, repairs and testing of tooling assets, and final assembly/fabrication support.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining tooling assets.
- Maintain tooling asset schedules in accordance with operational requirements.
- Provide recommendations for tooling process enhancements, upgrades, and improvements.
- Maintain and repair as needed shop tools & test equipment.
- Issue weekly & monthly reports as appropriate.
- Interface with Tooling Manager to prioritize & schedule assets.
- Assure readiness of tooling assets in support of operations requirements.
- Maintain project related documentation including manuals and procedures.
- Responsible for health, safety and environmental compliance for onshore tooling activities.
Qualifications
Education / Training: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: 5+ years of experience.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Special Requirements
- Strong Electro-Mechanical & Hydraulics background.
- Knowledge of Well Intervention & Workover Control Systems beneficial.
- Strong Hydraulics repair & troubleshooting.
- Excellent interpersonal, communications and writing skills.
Working conditions
- Office, shop environment.
- Some Travel Required.
- Occasional Offshore travel may be required.
