Summary:
Dismantles, moves, assembles, installs, and repairs industrial machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings, or verbal instructions.
Dismantles equipment and machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.
Moves machinery and equipment using hoist, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
Assembles and installs equipment such as conveyors and tram rails using hand and power tools.
Constructs foundations, aligns machines, and performs scheduled inspection and maintenance.
Sets up and operates machine tools and fabrication machinery to rework or make new parts.
Performs root cause analysis in support reliability processes and collaborates with vendors, engineering, team leader, customer, other crafts, and management to solve equipment problems and develop corrective action.
Reworks and maintains tools of all types and materials.
Performs routine minor machine maintenance including replacing machine filters, changing light bulbs, and maintaining lubrication/coolant levels.
Repairs and builds lay-up tools.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
3+ years of aerospace tooling or precision machining experience.
Proficiency with laser trackers, GD&T blueprints, overhead gantry cranes, and hydraulic systems.
High School diploma or technical degree.
Knowledge of station safety, quality (clean as you go / Foreign Object Debris) and OSHA regulations.
Basic skills of using a variety of tools.
Ability to enter, generate and retrieve information using a computer (SAP and Excel knowledge required).
High School Diploma/GED or WorkKeys Assessment completion.
Preferred: Training from a vocational school or previous employer in the use of dismantling, moving, installing, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment.
