Your impact
- Set up and operate manual milling and grinding machines to fabricate and repair tools and dies.
- Translate blueprints, engineering drawings, and setup sheets into efficient machining steps.
- Perform critical inspections with micrometers, calipers, and other precision gauges.
- Troubleshoot and correct tooling problems to protect part quality and line uptime.
- Work closely with engineers and shop leadership to elevate tooling designs and workflows.
- Champion safety, organize to 5S standards, and keep documentation complete and accurate.
What it takes
- 3+ years as a Tool and Die Maker or equivalent hands-on role.
- Confidence handling independent setups on mills and grinders.
- Expertise reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong precision measurement and inspection capabilities.
- Detail orientation paired with practical problem-solving.
Preferred to excel
- Tool/die design background; CAD/CAM familiarity is advantageous.
- Experience with metal stamping, forming, or die repair/maintenance.
- Understanding of ISO or AS9100D quality standards.
- Some CNC milling experience in addition to manual machining.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
