Job Overview

We are seeking a Tooling Engineer to support injection mold tooling, molding automation, end-of-arm robot tooling, assembly automation fixtures, and manufacturing aids. The role will support tooling projects from concept through production, including installation, commissioning, validation, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Support injection mold tooling and automated injection molding system validation.
Write, review, and execute validation documentation and assist with mold and equipment start-up and troubleshooting.
Provide technical expertise on injection mold design and operation to Quality, Engineering, and Production teams.
Support installation of new injection molds, equipment, and automated systems.
Collaborate with engineering teams to investigate tooling and process issues and recommend product or process improvements.
Communicate technical requirements with internal customers, suppliers, and vendors.
Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
Maintain injection mold and hot runner drawings and related tooling documentation.
Control revisions for vendor and customer drawings, 3D CAD models, BOMs, and other technical documentation.
Support quality investigations and engineering documentation updates, including Issue Reviews, NCMRs, CAPAs, and Change Requests.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, equivalent four-year technical degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
3-5 years of experience in an engineering capacity.
Proficiency in SolidWorks.
Experience creating and updating 3D CAD models and 2D CAD drawings.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of injection molding and tooling is preferred.
Experience with mold or equipment validation is preferred.
Knowledge of automation and tooling is preferred.
Familiarity with CAPA, NCMR, and engineering change control processes is preferred.
