Are you fluent in GD&T, DFM, and 3D modeling, and energized by fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing? If so, Phoenix Stamping1with facilities in Atlanta, GA; Fort Wayne, IN; and Fort Worth, TX1wants to meet you.

    What you19ll do

    • Scrutinize customer drawings and part samples to capture critical features and function
    • Drive APQP deliverables and risk mitigation
    • Build 3D part models and design tooling/check fixtures
    • Issue complete design documentation for internal/external stakeholders
    • Set up and maintain ERP part data
    • Validate first articles to approved designs
    • Run tolerance analyses; ensure strict GD&T adherence
    • Prototype, test, and validate new designs
    • Act as launch lead from project kickoff through production handoff
    • Lead concept development and convert innovation into practical engineering
    • Champion manufacturability, repeatability, and cost improvements
    • Support on-time releases to the shop floor
    • Participate in Engineering Design Reviews and Project Status Meetings
    • Enforce Phoenix Stamping Design and Drawing manual compliance
    • Own engineering change requests from investigation to completion
    • Partner with operations via Kata and other CI activities
    • Track emerging technologies and contribute to R&D initiatives

    What you19ll bring

    • BSME or MET
    • 3 5+ years of mechanical design experience
    • Depth in metal stamping processes, sheet metal design guidelines, and DFM
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong communication skills
    • Self-driven, organized, team-first, customer-focused, and accountable
    • Comfort working hands-on in production environments
    • Autodesk Inventor (or equivalent 3D CAD) and Autodesk Vault (or similar PLM)

    Software & Systems

    • 3D Modeling (AutoCAD, Solidworks)
    • 2D drawing creation and review
    • CAD platforms: AutoCAD, Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor
