    Direct hire opportunity for a Tool Maker. 

    As a Tool Maker, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and repairing precision tools and dies used in the manufacturing process for molded plastics. Your extensive experience gained through a U.S. Department of Labor-approved four-year apprenticeship in the tool and die field will be instrumental in ensuring equipment functions at its best.

    Overview of Job Role
     
    • Fabricate, repair, and maintain precision tools, molds, dies, and fixtures.
    • Troubleshoot and recommend solutions for problem molds 
    • Set up and operates tool room equipment using very close tolerances.
    • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to create accurate tooling.
    • Inspect and measure tooling components to ensure they meet strict quality standards.
    • Diagnose and resolve issues with existing tooling to minimize downtime and improve production efficiency.
    • Work closely with engineers and production teams to provide technical support and recommendations for tooling improvements.


    Qualifications

    • Completion of a four-year apprenticeship program approved by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training in the tool and die field.
    • 3+ years of proven experience as a Tool Maker with a strong background in precision tool and die work including injection molding knowledge
    • Proficiency in using machining equipment and precision measuring instruments.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design schematics.
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
    • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
