JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client Northrop Grumman is looking for an Engineer Tool 2 to support our Tooling department. This position will serve on-site at Palmdale
Responsibilities
- Coordination of design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, both internal and external
- Coordinate/develop & execute test plans
- Develop & evaluate process improvements
- Assist Product Development Team with new product designs to ensure manufacturability, validate process/technology.
- Developing manufacturing processes, plans, and procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment in support.
- of our process work instructions and visual aids of our shop planning process and other functions that affect product performance.
- Managing all phases of project: design, document, fabricate, assemble, and validate.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Catia design experience (high proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing).
- Familiarity with Industry Standards related to Detailed Drawing Requirements, ANSI, ISO, etc.
- Knowledgeable in designing of castings, stampings, and turned components
- GD&T knowledge (it's understanding and usage) to properly apply the rules to drawings
- Efficient in writing, communication, and ability to manage technical details
- Proficient with Microsoft office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
