Tool Engineer

Knowledge and application of GD&T (ASME Y14.5-2018) - Knowledge and application of drawing weld symbols - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong organizational skills in managing time, projects, and resources - Technical attention to detail - Must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance & special program access - Bachelors Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment - Experience in engineering, design, and fabrication of special tooling and support equipment - Experience in design, fabrication and implementation of tooling used in the manufacture of composite parts - Ability to evaluate vendor capabilities for tooling and aerospace part production - Experience participating in developments project, establishing tooling SOW & design estimates. - Excellent organizational and project management skills - Experience with stress analysis of simple to complex problems via hand calculations and FEMAP/NASTRAN - Professional Engineering License - Current active DOD Secret clearance with an investigation date/periodic review within the last 5 years.

Position would require the candidate to be a W2 employee of Donatech.

- Develop tooling concepts and support equipment for new and existing programs
- Design tooling and equipment, including engineering drawings, inspection requirements, and verification plans
- Review designs for manufacturability, fit, form, and function
- Identify and mitigate safety risks in accordance with company and state/government standards
- Make layouts of complex assemblies and details parts of structures
- Develops basic data and makes preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present design proposal.
- Interface with internal customers and design review teams to ensure requirements are met
- Coordinates with manufacturing, operations, and process engineering to support program quality, delivery, and cost objectives
