Responsibilities
- Design and fabricate tools, dies, and fixtures according to specifications.
- Set up and operate various machine tools, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Inspect and test completed tools and dies to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Maintain and repair existing tools and dies to extend their lifespan.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in tool and die making preferred.
- Proven experience as a Tool Die Maker or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes and tooling materials.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with CAD software and other design tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
