    Tool Designer / Fixture Designer

    Tool Designer / Fixture Designer
    Role Summary:
    Aerospace tooling design experience and familiarity with NX or similar design environments may also be relevant for follow-up sourcing.
    Position Responsibilities:
    Experience in design, modification, and disposition of manufacturing tools to support the building of production parts. Some experience with production tool strings, assembly instructions, tool order creation, tool liaison, and Geometric Dimensioning
    Tolerances (GD T).
    Develops, authorizes and implements alternative methods and interim solutions for damaged and unsafe tools and equipment to meet functional requirements.
    Analyses and revises preventive maintenance requirements for tools. Research develops and evaluates new technical approaches and tool engineering processes for applicability to programs and products.
    Investigate design-engineering changes to maintain engineering configuration and initiate action.
    General knowledge of computer aided design tools and systems (e.g., computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), computer aided three dimensional interactive (CATIA), Unigraphics, etc.). Able to build and manipulate data sets.
    Candidate should be conversant with Assembly Processes, Customer Supplier Knowledge, Design / Produce Processes, Engineering Process Improvement Method, Manufacturing Methods, Product Structure, Operational Analysis.
    General knowledge of industry, military and government specifications, handbooks and standards.
    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
    4-8 yrs of relevant experience with degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Production Engineering
