Tool Crib and Facilities Lead

Gartner Refrigeration has an opportunity for a qualified Tool Crib and Facilities Lead our Plymouth, MN Office.

Job Summary:

Oversees daily tool crib operations, including the organization, distribution, tracking, maintenance, and repair of tools, equipment, materials, and company-owned assets used to support field operations and project work. Supports facility operations by coordinating vendor services, assisting with fleet-related needs, maintaining key life safety and PPE supplies, and helping ensure facilities, vehicles, tools, and equipment remain safe, organized, and ready to support the business. Provides day-to-day work direction and support to other tool crib team members.

Responsibilities:

• Tool and Equipment Management: Issues tools and equipment to team members. Receives, unpacks, stores, and maintains records of company-owned tools and equipment issued and returned. Conducts periodic inventory counts or maintains perpetual inventory records. Monitors tool utilization, accountability, and costs through tool management systems.
• Equipment Maintenance and Repairs: Inspects, services, repairs, and maintains tools and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. Evaluates repair versus replacement needs and determines appropriate job cost allocation when applicable.
• Inventory, Parts, and Logistics Coordination: Receives, inspects, and tracks incoming and outgoing parts, materials, and equipment. Coordinates deliveries and transportation activities while maintaining inventory accuracy and communicating material availability to field, service, and operations teams.
• Facilities and Vendor Coordination: Coordinates facility-related services and vendors, including janitorial services, building and site repairs, preventative maintenance, lawn care, and snow removal. Assists in evaluating vendors, managing service schedules, and ensuring facilities remain safe, functional, and well maintained.
• Fleet and Asset Support: Assists with company fleet operations by coordinating vehicle maintenance, supporting vehicle purchases, registrations, licensing, and company decals, and maintaining records for company-owned vehicles and assets.
• Safety, Life Safety, and PPE Management: Works closely with relevant team members to support facility and life safety programs. Helps maintain eyewash stations, fire extinguishers, fire protection and suppression systems, proper storage of flammable materials, and adequate PPE inventory.
• Team Leadership & Operational Support: Provides day-to-day guidance, training, and support to tool crib team members. Shares best practices, assists with work prioritization, supports employee development, and promotes consistent processes and accountability.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years experience of warehouse or delivery experience
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
