Description
Step into a future-focused precision manufacturing shop in Largo, Florida where you’ll help bring production in-house and shape how a facility runs. In this Tool and Moldmaker opportunity, you’ll work in a clean, air-conditioned 10,000-square-foot startup shop equipped with state-of-the-art Mazak and Makino machinery.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Tool and Moldmaker position include:
- 5+ years of hands-on machining in a toolroom, mold, or die environment (or a completed apprenticeship).
- Program your own work in Mastercam directly from 3D models without relying on a separate programmer.
- Set up and run CNC mills and lathes yourself, including workholding, tooling, and offsets, without supervision.
- Build or substantially contribute to a complete injection mold or die (cores, cavities, inserts, slides) and own the job end to end.
- Hold tight tolerances of plus or minus half a thousandth (0.0005 in) or tighter and hand-fit and finish components to the number.
- Run at least one of the following in production: sinker EDM, wire EDM, or 5-axis machining.
- Keep more than one machine running at the same time and work comfortably in a three-person startup shop.
- Provide photos/examples of molds or precision tools you’ve built, and be authorized to work in the United States while working full-time on-site in Largo.
Salary: $34-$46 per hour, plus overtime paid at 1.5x.
