About the Role:Maes Learning Academy in Hopewell, VA is looking for a passionate and nurturing Toddler Teacher to join our growing team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of our youngest learners during their most formative years. Responsibilities:- Plan and implement age-appropriate, developmentally focused lesson plans for toddlers
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Monitor and support the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child
- Maintain open, positive communication with parents and guardians regarding daily activities and child progress
- Follow all childcare licensing regulations, health, and safety protocols
- Assist with diapering, feeding, nap routines, and other daily care needs
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support a positive classroom and school culture
Requirements:- High school diploma or GED required; CDA credential or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Previous experience working with toddlers or in an early childhood setting strongly preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Ability to pass a background check and meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Patient, energetic, and compassionate demeanor with a genuine love for young children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
