Pay: $18 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
The Learning Experience- River Vale is seeking an experienced and nurturing Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team.
Our Toddler Teacher creates a warm, responsive classroom where babies feel safe, loved, and encouraged to explore. We're looking for someone who already has experience caring for infants or young children in a professional childcare setting and is confident supporting the unique routines and developmental needs of our youngest learners.
What You'll Do
Lead a safe, nurturing, and engaging toddler classroom
Provide attentive, responsive care throughout the day
Support individualized feeding, diapering, nap, and daily routines
Create age-appropriate sensory, movement, language, and early learning experiences
Encourage cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development
Observe developmental progress and celebrate important milestones
Maintain accurate classroom records and daily communication
Build trusting relationships and communicate regularly with families
Collaborate with Assistant Teachers and center leadership
Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom
Follow New Jersey childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Previous professional childcare or early childhood education experience required
Toddler classroom experience strongly preferred
Previous Lead Teacher experience is a plus
CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus, but not required
Comfortable with feeding, diapering, safe sleep practices, and individualized infant routines
Patient, dependable, nurturing, and confident leading a classroom
Must meet applicable New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
