Job Title: Toddler Teacher Assistant
Park Schools Montessori is seeking a caring, dependable, and motivated
Toddler Teacher Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and is interested in growing professionally in a Montessori environment.
The Toddler Teacher Assistant will work closely with the Lead Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, organized, and engaging classroom experience. We are especially interested in candidates who would like to develop their teaching skills and potentially
run their own classroom in the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and routines
- Support Montessori lessons and hands-on learning experiences
- Supervise and engage toddlers throughout the school day
- Assist with meals, toileting/diapering, transitions, and other care routines as needed
- Encourage independence, social-emotional development, and positive classroom behavior
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
- Communicate professionally with children, families, teachers, and staff
- Support classroom preparation and end-of-day routines
Qualifications
- Experience working with toddlers or young children preferred
- Montessori experience is a plus, but not required
- Spanish-speaking ability is a plus, but not required
- Patient, nurturing, dependable, and professional
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn Montessori practices and classroom procedures
- Interest in professional growth and developing the skills needed to eventually lead a classroom is highly encouraged
