Toddler Lead Teacher – Early Childhood Education

Pay: $17–$21 per hour, based on experience and credentials
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
The Learning Experience is looking for an energetic and nurturing Toddler Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team.
Toddlers are constantly exploring, communicating, moving, and discovering new independence. As a Lead Teacher, you’ll create a warm and structured classroom that turns that natural curiosity into meaningful opportunities to learn and grow.
What You’ll Do
- Lead daily routines and learning experiences in a Toddler classroom
- Implement The Learning Experience’s proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Create hands-on activities supporting language, movement, creativity, and exploration
- Encourage independence and positive social-emotional development
- Support meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions
- Maintain consistent routines and positive classroom guidance
- Observe developmental progress and support individual milestones
- Communicate regularly with families
- Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom
- Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous professional toddler, daycare, preschool, or childcare experience strongly preferred
- Toddler classroom experience preferred
- Lead Teacher experience is a plus
- CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Patient, energetic, dependable, and nurturing
- Must meet applicable Michigan childcare licensing requirements
