Tobacco Treatment Specialist (Grant-Funded)

Position Summary

The Tobacco Treatment Specialist (TTS) is responsible for providing evidence-based tobacco and nicotine dependence treatment services to individuals seeking to quit smoking, vaping, or using other tobacco products. The specialist will conduct assessments, provide individual and group counseling, develop personalized quit plans, facilitate referrals, and deliver education utilizing best practices in tobacco cessation and behavior change.

The Tobacco Treatment Specialist serves as a key member of the NJ Quit Program and Behavioral Health team, working collaboratively with healthcare providers, community organizations, and public health partners to improve health outcomes and reduce tobacco-related disparities throughout New Jersey.

This is a full-time, grant-funded position contingent upon the continued availability of external funding.
