The Office of Equal Opportunity and Title IX manages the It's On Blue initiative. It's On Blue focuses on the prevention of sexual harassment through a variety of engaging educational methods. In addition to prevention, Title IX also responds to allegations of sexual harassment and provides resources and resolution options to those involved. This position is to provide professional support to the Office of Equal Opportunity and Title IX. The position is designed to work directly with the Deputy Title IX Coordinator though the Title IX Student Assistant may at times work with the Director of Equal Opportunity and Title IX Coordinator.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Help facilitate events and programs
  • Create flyers for events, programs, and campaigns through our office
  • Brainstorm new programming and event ideas
  • Create social media posts pertaining to our office and upcoming events

Work Schedule

10 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The student may work more hours during special events and programs, specifically during Dating & Domestic Violence Awareness Month & Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Job Duties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet all visitors politely and professionally
  • Assist in any distribution of posters or general documents to campus
  • Help with social media campaigns/campus awareness of various topics
  • Train and present workshops to requesting student groups and organizations
  • Assist with maintaining administrative work as needed; this may include maintaining spreadsheets, filing documents, copying or scanning documents, etc.
  • Assist in keeping the front office in its appearance clean at all times
  • Assist the staff in programming efforts
  • Support the efforts of the office in general, as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
