Title Solutions Group is seeking a detail-oriented Underwriter to join our team. In this role, you'll support real estate transactions by performing underwriting and customer service functions in alignment with established underwriting guidelines. What You'll Do:
- Respond to inquiries related to file status, rate quotes, title defects, and clearing exceptions.
- Review title searches and opinions to determine title status, underwriting requirements, and exceptions.
- Underwrite and prepare commitments, policies, and endorsements in line with agency goals.
- Ensure all file documentation is complete, accurate, and routed appropriately.
- Accurately enter and maintain critical title information within the title policy system.
- Support workflow administration, including ordering title searches, scheduling closings, and tracking updates when applicable.
- Assist with reporting, file maintenance, receivables tracking, and general office support as needed.
- Coordinate document recording and follow up with clerks or attorneys when applicable.
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least three years of relevant experience in title insurance, underwriting, mortgage lending, legal support, or loan processing.
- Working knowledge of title insurance principles, legal instruments, and real estate terminology.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and interpret recorded documents.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Proficiency in typing with speed and accuracy.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
