    Job Title: Title I Campus Specialist

    Reports to: Campus Principal

    Dept/Campus: Assigned Title I Campus

    Pay Grade: Teacher Pay Scale

    Wage/Status: Exempt

    Days: 187

    Primary Purpose:

    Utilize campus data and stakeholder input to increase the effectiveness of campus Title I initiatives, and the academic success of underperforming students, and increase parent and family engagement across the campus. This position is Title I funded and meets the intent and purpose of Title I, Part A of the ESSA grant program. The respective employee will be assigned 100% to this federal grant program's single cost objective.

    Education/Certification:

    • Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited university (required)
    • Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for the subject and level assigned (preferred)

    Special Knowledge/Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of Title I program requirements and of the needs of a Title I campus
    • Knowledge of data collection and analysis
    • In-depth knowledge of techniques to successfully complete and support the implementation of District and campus Improvement Plan goals and Strategic Design Plan Phase
    • Knowledge of, and ability to serve as a parent liaison to help research and plan the most effective, culturally relevant, parent nights/ campus events and promote community and family volunteers
    • Ability to coordinate campus events from start to completion
    • Ability to coordinate tutors based on data and academic needs
    • Ability to use campus data to coordinate resources to help ensure academic growth for students
    • Effective communication skills
    • Ability to manage federal fund lifecycles
    • Ability to remain calm under extreme stress situations, while still providing support for the campus
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

    Experience:

    • At least 3 years of experience working on a Title I campus
    • Experience working with diverse student populations
    • Experience in collaborating with adults

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Provide job-embedded professional development and facilitate communication among all stakeholders to increase student growth, enhance social-emotional and academic success in Title I schools, and empower families to actively partner with teachers.
    • Assist in facilitating the Campus Needs Assessment process and campus program evaluations to help inform the Campus Improvement Plan development
    • Lead campus efforts to empower families as active participants in their student's education through educational programs
    • Prepares and submits reports as required
    • Coordinate academic tutors and schedules to maximize student learning opportunities
    • Analyze the impact on student outcomes using resources purchased with Title I funds.
    • Collect and maintain campus' Title I documentation
    • Obtain competitive quotes, execute purchase orders, and maintain real time financial records to ensure

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • The Title I Specialist will ensure program implementation by Title I staff and oversee the collection and maintenance of campus Title I documentation.

The employee may spend long hours in intense concentration which requires attention to detail. There are a number of deadlines associated with this position, which may cause significant stress. The employee must also deal with a wide variety of people on various issues. Predictable and regular attendance is expected.
