Residential Title Officer opportunity with our national Title company client. The
Residential Title Officer examines public records and legal documents to determine property title status, identify defects or encumbrances, and provide accurate, detailed reports.
Your specific duties will include:- Verify all obtained property and tax information is complete and accurate.
- Ensure all necessary maps and documents are prepared for customer search packages.
- Confirm the appropriate starter base and ensure all subsequent information is included.
- Review and interpret all chain-of-title documents and maps from relevant property systems.
- Write preliminary reports and guarantees that comply with state guidelines and company policies.
- Fulfill client and escrow requests for document copies, research projects, and maps.
- Coach and resolve issues for Title Examiner I and II positions.
- Identify title defects, restrictions, or encumbrances and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with clients, attorneys, and stakeholders to resolve title issues.
- Ensure all title examinations strictly comply with industry regulations and company policies.
Required qualifications for the position include:
- Comprehensive knowledge of reading legal descriptions used for real property.
- Ability to review complex legal documents and identify any discrepancies.
- Ability to identify issues, analyze problems and implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency in relevant software and in-depth understanding of title examination process and legal documentation.
- Proficiency in conducting thorough searches of public records and legal documents.
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in title examination
Pay Rate Range: $54,000 - $75,000 annually, DOE
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
