    Job Description:

    Are you a recent law school graduate or legal professional looking to apply your legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills in a dynamic real estate environment?

    Old Republic Title is seeking a Commercial/Residential Title Examiner to join our growing team in Naples, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a Juris Doctor (J.D.), an interest in real estate and property law, or individuals looking to build a long-term career outside of traditional legal practice. In this role, you'll investigate property ownership, analyze legal records, resolve title issues, and help facilitate complex commercial and residential real estate transactions.     What You'll Do

    As a Commercial/Residential Title Examiner, you'll conduct research and analysis to determine property ownership, identify title issues, and ensure accurate title commitments for commercial and residential transactions.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Reviewing public records and legal documents related to real property ownership

    • Analyzing chains of title to identify ownership interests, defects, encumbrances, and risks

    • Researching deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, leases, trusts, probate records, and court filings

    • Evaluating estate, probate, and heirship matters impacting property ownership

    • Reviewing legal descriptions and supporting property records

    • Identifying and helping resolve title defects and curative matters

    • Preparing title commitments and supporting title documentation

    • Interpreting underwriting guidelines and title standards

    • Collaborating with escrow, underwriting, and closing teams to facilitate transactions

    • Responding to questions from attorneys, lenders, customers, and internal stakeholders

    What We're Looking For

    • Juris Doctor (J.D.) strongly preferred

    • Recent law school graduates are encouraged to apply

    • Interest in real estate law, property law, probate, trusts, or title insurance

    • Strong legal research and analytical skills

    • Ability to interpret legal documents and statutes

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities

    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technology platforms
