Title Clerk
Department: I-State Truck Center
Location: Inver Grove Heights, MN
Pay Range: $22.00-$26.00/hour DOE
Job Summary
Are you highly organized, detail oriented, and passionate about administration? I-State Truck Center is seeking a Title Clerk to join our team in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vehicle titles, registrations, licensing documents, and related dealership transactions. The Title Clerk helps maintain compliance with state and federal regulations while supporting customers, sales professionals, and other team members through exceptional attention to detail and service.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Process new and used vehicle titles, registrations, transfers, and tax documents.
- Submit title and registration paperwork to appropriate state agencies.
- Verify accuracy and completeness of title applications and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate vehicle payoffs, lien releases, and dealer trade documentation.
- Maintain records of outstanding title work and resolve title discrepancies.
- Post vehicle sales and purchase transactions in dealership systems.
- Process warranty registrations and related vehicle documentation.
- Maintain organized title files and ensure compliance with licensing regulations.
- Assist customers, lenders, and employees with title and registration inquiries.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
- Perform general administrative duties and other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and dealership management systems.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of vehicle titling and registration processes preferred.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous dealership, title clerk, licensing, accounting, or administrative experience preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain seated for extended periods.
- Frequent use of computers, phones, and office equipment.
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
