Description
The Tissue Acquisition Specialist assists in the coordination, collection, processing, storage, and shipment of tissue biospecimens for research purposes including clinical trials and translational cancer research. Will also perform a variety of research duties, which may include consenting patients, abstracting and organizing patient data, and creating data collection tools. Estimated pay range for this position is $25.88 - $33.64 / hour depending on experience. Degrees:
- Bachelors.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Basic Life Support.
Additional Qualifications:
- Self-motivated and driven individual who has demonstrated success working in a fast-paced, dynamic and cross-functional environment.
- Must be able to prioritize and organize work responsibilities in order to meet deadlines.
- Medical Terminology experience preferred.
- Should have general knowledge of the workflow involved in processing and fixing or freezing tissue specimens.
- Must demonstrate accuracy in recording data.
- Must have excellent manual dexterity, strong analytical and problem solving skills and clerical skills including use of computers.
Minimum Required Experience: 2 Years
