Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable Tire Technician to join a busy service team in Tulsa. This position is responsible for mounting, balancing, rotating, repairing, and inspecting tires while ensuring every vehicle is serviced safely, accurately, and efficiently.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with tire service experience or mechanically inclined individuals who are eager to learn a skilled trade.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous tire technician experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Mount, balance, and install tires on customer vehicles and equipment
Perform tire rotations, repairs, and routine tire maintenance
Inspect tires and wheels for damage, excessive wear, or safety concerns
Verify proper tire pressure and balancing before returning equipment to service
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all company safety procedures and shop policies
Assist with general shop maintenance and additional duties as assigned
Provide quality workmanship while meeting daily productivity goals
Preferred Qualifications
Previous automotive or commercial tire service experience
Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with shop equipment
Experience using tire mounting and balancing equipment
Knowledge of tire safety and inspection procedures
Physical Requirements
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and repetitive physical activity throughout the shift
Ability to safely operate tire service equipment while wearing required PPE
Comfortable working in an active automotive or industrial shop environment
Work Environment
Automotive or industrial service shop
Fast-paced environment focused on safety, quality, and customer service
Exposure to tire service equipment, hand tools, lifting equipment, and shop machinery
