    Summary of position:

    The Tire and Lube Technician is responsible for performing general vehicle repairs, maintenance and diagnosis.

    Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:


    • Service customer vehicles while ensuring quality workmanship.
    • Use diagnostic tools to identify problems with vehicles, including engine, electrical and mechanical systems.
    • Perform tire repairs, including sealing punctures and replacing valve stems.
    • Install and perform tire maintenance.
    • Perform oil change and/or transmission service and filters.
    • Perform tire rotation.
    • Road test vehicles.
    • Ensure the service center is clean and safe.
    • Install batteries and check electrical systems.
    • Must use PPE, dollies, jacks, hoists, lifts and various tools in accordance with proper use and safety guidelines.
    • Use proper ergonomics when lifting to avoid strains.

    Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
    • 1 year work experience in lube/tire technician duties, preferred.
    • Must demonstrate working understanding of tire/lube service procedures, mechanical skills and the ability to lift heavy equipment.
    • Strong customer service skills and effective communication are essential.
    • US work authorization.



    Required Licenses or Certifications:

    • Driver's License, unrestricted.
    • Maintain TIA & ALI certification upon training received.

    Work Environment/Expectations:

    • Work will occur in well-lit, well-ventilated repair shop locations.
    • Exposure is grease, car exhaust and chemicals is expected.
    • Background noise from coworkers, vehicles and various tools is expected.
    • Maintain regular, punctual attendance.
    • Must wear required uniform.


    Physical Requirements:


    • Bending, squatting and working under vehicles is expected.
    • Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds routinely.
    • Use of power tools and mechanic parts are used daily.
    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
    • Must be able to walk, talk, listen and speak clearly.
    • Use of fine motor skills is expected.
    • Must be able to raise arms above the head and shoulders for extended periods of time.
