    Job Title: Timekeeper / Payroll Support / Admin Assistant (Part-Time)

    Location: Port Lavaca, TX (Formosa Facility)

    Reports to: Project Superintendent / Project Manager

    Hourly Rate: Based on Experience

We are looking for a qualified Timekeeper / Payroll Support Assistant with a passion for accountability, accuracy and communication.

    We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, bilingual (Spanish/English) administrative professional to support timekeeping, payroll, and general administrative functions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, organization, and adaptability. The position is based on-site in the Port Lavaca, TX area and offers the opportunity to grow into a full-time role based on performance and business needs.

    What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities):

    • Perform basic timekeeping functions, including collecting, reviewing, and verifying employee time records for accuracy and completeness.
    • Assist with payroll preparation and processing support under direction of the payroll team.
    • Communicate / Interact with the client in a timely, professional manner.
    • Maintain accurate records and data entry related to hours worked, attendance, and related documentation.
    • Utilize Microsoft Excel at an intermediate to advanced level for tracking, reporting, data analysis, and process support (Excel proficiency will be evaluated).
    • Provide general administrative support as needed in a high-volume setting.
    • Communicate effectively with employees and supervisors in both English and Spanish.
    • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and maintain accuracy under pressure.
    • Follow established processes and maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and employee information.
    • Perform other related administrative duties as assigned.

    What You Will Need: (Skills & Competencies)

    • Fluent bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
    • Basic experience with timekeeping processes or systems.
    • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, data organization, reporting, etc.). Candidates will be required to complete an Excel skills evaluation.
    • Ability to work on-site daily in the Port Lavaca, TX area.
    • Availability for morning shifts, Monday through Friday (20-30 hours per week).
    • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks accurately.
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
    • Reliable, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality.

    Bonus Points If You Have:

    • Prior experience in payroll support, timekeeping, or administrative roles in a high-volume setting.
    • Familiarity with payroll or timekeeping software/systems.

    Experience working in industrial, construction, oilfield, or similar operational environments.
