Qualified Staffing is currently in search of a TIG Welder for a manufacturing company in Lithonia, GA! This is a full-time, DAY SHIFT, temp to perm position! Schedule: Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm Pay: $22-$24, Based on Experience RESPONSIBILITIES:
Welds aluminum, steel and stainless-steel parts with TIG welding equipment.
Position parts in jigs or fixtures on bench of floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks.
Select torch, torch tips, filler rod and flux according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of metal being welded.
Connects regulator valves and hoses to gas cylinders and welding torches.
Adjusts regulator valves and performs welding operations.
Examines welds for bead size and other specifications.
Chips or grinds off excess weld, slag or spatter.
Cleans and degreases parts as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
One year certificate from college or technical school
1+ years related welding experience
Strong knowledge of electrical components, blueprints, and layouts
