TMD Staffing is hiring experienced TIG Welders / Fabricators for a great opportunity with a leading manufacturing company in Cedar Park, TX. We are looking for skilled welders with strong GTAW/TIG experience, especially in thin-gauge sheet metal.
Pay & Schedule
- Day Shift: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM
- Night Shift: 4:00 PM 12:30 AM
- Lots of overtime available!
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous TIG/GTAW welding experience is required and must be clearly shown on your resume
- Minimum 1+ years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience welding thin-gauge sheet metal, including material as thin as 20 gauge / .036"
- Experience welding aluminum and/or stainless steel
- Ability to perform your own grinding, finishing, and cleanup
- Proven ability to produce high-quality, clean, seamless-looking welds
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols
- Strong attention to detail and quality
Job Duties
- Perform GTAW/TIG welding as the primary welding process
- Fit, assemble, tack weld, weld, grind, and finish fabricated components
- Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Work with thin-gauge sheet metal and fabricated assemblies
- Read and follow blueprints, weld symbols, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Perform spot welding, stud welding, and robotic welding as needed
- Install PEM hardware, rivet nuts, inserts, studs, and related hardware
- Perform drilling, tapping, countersinking, and other fabrication tasks
- Inspect finished products for quality and compliance with specifications
- Complete production paperwork and work-order documentation
- Maintain tools, fixtures, and equipment
- Perform routine equipment inspections and operator preventive maintenance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow all company safety and environmental procedures
- Support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1+ years of welding/fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated TIG/GTAW welding experience
- Sheet metal fabrication experience
- Experience welding aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel
- Experience welding thin-gauge materials
- Ability to perform grinding and finishing operations
- Experience with spot welding, stud welding, or robotic welding is a plus
- High-mix, low-volume manufacturing experience preferred
- Overhead crane experience is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This is an onsite manufacturing position. The work environment may include welding fumes, vapors, airborne particles, moving machinery, vibration, and elevated noise levels.

- Must be available to work the assigned shift and overtime as needed
- Must successfully complete required background and drug screening
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
