Role Summary
We are seeking an IT Service Desk Technician to provide on site technical support at the companys Canada location. This role is essential to maintaining smooth day to day operations by troubleshooting issues, supporting end users, and ensuring systems remain secure and reliable.
You will work directly with employees across accounting and operational teams, handling both on premise and cloud based environments, administering Active Directory, and supporting hardware and software deployments. This role requires strong communication, problem solving skills, and the ability to work independently while delivering high quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Provide timely technical support for users on site and remotely
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues and restore functionality
Stage, deploy, and reclaim devices including workstations, routers, and printers
Configure and maintain computer equipment, peripherals, software, and drivers
Deliver onboarding support, setup, and orientation for new technology and applications
Schedule and perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and system checks
Assist with IT projects including deployments, demobilizations, server tasks, and process improvements
Participate in after hours on call rotation for emergency support needs
Maintain documentation, asset tracking, and support logs as required
Key Requirements
3 to 5 years of experience as an IT Technician or similar role in an enterprise environment
Degree in Computer Science engineering or related field or equivalent professional experience
Proficiency with Windows 10 Office 365 and PC hardware support
Strong understanding of networks LAN and WAN technologies
Active Directory experience including object management and NTFS permissions
Experience supporting both on premise and cloud based environments
Excellent communication diagnostic and problem solving skills
Ability to travel locally to nearby locations when required
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and work in physically demanding conditions when needed
CompTIA A plus or Microsoft certifications preferred
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines
Location and Schedule
On site in Acheson, AB (Canada) Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm
