Job Description

We are seeking a senior TIBCO Integration / Modernization Specialist with 10+ years of experience in enterprise integration, legacy application analysis, modernization, and technical stakeholder management.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on knowledge of the TIBCO technology stack and enterprise integration patterns, along with experience analyzing legacy integrations and supporting modernization initiatives.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • TIBCO BusinessEvents (BE)
    • TIBCO BusinessWorks (BW)
    • TIBCO EMS
    • TIBCO Administrator
    • ActiveSpaces
    • Enterprise integration patterns
  • Experience with integration analysis, application discovery, dependency mapping, code review, testing, defect triage, deployment planning, and production support.
  • Ability to understand and explain:
    • Legacy integration behavior
    • Event processing
    • Messaging patterns
    • Interface contracts
    • Data flows
    • Exception handling
    • Non-functional requirements
  • Experience working with application SMEs, architects, QA teams, release teams, and modernization developers in Agile environments.

    • Alternative integration platforms
  • GCP experience preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

A. Readiness & Discovery

  • Gather and organize technical inputs, including Git repositories, software stacks, application documentation, test assets, interface inventories, operational playbooks, and deployment references.
  • Install and configure required TIBCO software locally, where permitted, to support code walkthroughs, compilation, execution, and troubleshooting.
  • Set up application code locally and validate whether applications/components can be compiled, executed, or analyzed for modernization.
  • Collect technical, functional, regression, integration, and edge-case test cases from application and QA teams.
  • Support environment sanity and certification activities by validating:
    • Dependencies
    • Access
    • Connectivity
    • Application startup
    • Baseline behavior
    • Integration touchpoints
  • Capture and define non-functional requirements, including:
    • Performance
    • Scalability
    • Resiliency
    • Latency
    • Throughput
    • Monitoring
    • Logging
    • Recovery
    • Operational support
  • Document deployment information, including current deployment processes, latest deployed versions, release history, configuration management, deployment ownership, and rollback procedures.
  • Confirm deployment tools, monitoring tools, metrics/log aggregation tools, alerting mechanisms, and operational dashboards used by each application or integration.

B. SME Liaison & Application Guidance

  • Work closely with application SMEs to understand application behavior, business rules, integration logic, data dependencies, legacy-equivalency requirements, and operational constraints.
  • Review and approve technical user stories, solution outlines, technical designs, and functional specifications for in-scope integrations and applications.
  • Participate in workshops, sprint reviews, demonstrations, and design sessions.
  • Provide domain clarification, dependency validation, and decision support.
  • Support defect triage and issue resolution during SIT, E2E, and UAT.
  • Facilitate communication between application SMEs, architects, QA, release teams, and modernization teams.
  • Document decisions, dependencies, risks, assumptions, and technical findings.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with TIBCO modernization and migration initiatives.
  • Experience transitioning legacy TIBCO integrations to modern API, microservices, or cloud-native architectures.
  • Knowledge of Java/Spring Boot and modern integration frameworks.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience working in large enterprise or retail environments.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.
